Dr Melody Anderson

Melody is an experienced associate dean with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education sector. Skilled in leadership, policy development and analysis, teacher performance assessment, criterion-based assessment, curriculum development and educational research, Melody’s expertise and experience is at the nexus of post-graduate teacher education, professional degree programs and program accreditation.

Melody is a chief investigator in numerous research projects with a focus on evidence-based teaching in initial teacher education programs and the development of models for researching the effectiveness of teacher education programs. Melody is also actively engaged in the development and implementation of measures of effective teaching performance for pre-service and practicing teachers. She regularly publishes and presents at local and international conferences in these key areas. Melody supervises the projects of graduate researchers (PhD) from commencement through to submission of thesis.

As an educational consultant, Melody provides strategic advice to prospective higher education providers as they work towards approval of programs with national and statutory regulators, compliance with relevant standards and frameworks, and accreditation with professional bodies. Melody is a member of the Victorian Institute of Teaching Accreditation Expert Group, participating regularly in the process for accreditation of initial teacher education programs for Australian universities and higher education providers.

Professor Chris Tisdell

Chris Tisdell is Professor of Mathematics and a Fellow of UNSW’s Scientia Education Academy. He is also an Honorary Professor of STEM & Digital Education at UQ (Brisbane). ​Education is his vocation - a voice, calling from within him since he was a young. In Chris's mind, education forms a place where a personal passion intersects with the world's deep need. Education is what he has been doing with his life that makes a personal difference and will form part of his legacy - something that be looked back on in later years to see the meaningful impact on the world.

Chris is best known for his innovative contributions to digital education that have ​explored the challenges of scale, flexibility and personalised learning. His online teaching efforts have influenced millions of learners around the world via his YouTube channel and e-textbooks. A teacher at heart, the quality and impact of his work on student learning has been recognised at national and international levels, through fellowships and prestigious awards for educational excellence, including diversity and inclusion.

As Associate Dean (Education), Chris has been responsible for improving the quality, recognition, and transparency of teaching across 600 courses within the Faculty of Science, spearheading UNSW’s 2025 Strategy. This includes 30 programs and 10,000 students within the Faculty of Science at UNSW, and leading TEQSA re-registrations and chairing program reviews. Chris promotes innovation in education through public engagement and thought leadership at national and international levels as an expert and public figure. He is proud to collaborate with key partners within the education industry, ensuring continuous improvement and collaborative advantage.

Chris holds a PG Cert (Digital Education) from the University of Edinburgh, a PhD (Mathematics) and a BA (Hons I) from the University of Queensland.

Emeritus Professor Samir Ranjan Chatterjee

Emeritus Professor Samir Ranjan Chatterjee has been involved in Management education in the global arena as a university academic, researcher, and International consultant for five decades. Besides his home base at Curtin University in Australia, he has lived and worked for extended periods in India, China, USA, UK, France, Switzerland, Slovenia (former Yugoslavia), Japan, Singapore, Mongolia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mauritius and Hong Kong.

During 1994 – 95, he lived in Mongolia for a year and worked in follow –up projects in the country for another five years as the United Nations Adviser in the development of Management Education in the country. From 1999 to 2003, Prof Chatterjee was the Director of a special in-house Masters Program in International Trade ( Curtin University) for the senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade ( MOFTEC), in China.

He was the Program Director of a yearlong intensive program of Human Resource Training for the senior Officials of the Ministry of Finance, (MOF) in China funded by the Australian Government on the eve of China’s entry to WTO. He has also lived in Indonesia as a reviewer of a large higher education project (US $250 million) for the Asian Development Bank. Prof Chatterjee was the Director of a large number of Capacity building programs funded by the Australia Government for senior officials from China, India,Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and several other Asian counties.

He has authored and co-authored fifteen books, thirty five book chapters and about two hundred scholarly papers in international scholarly journals and refereed international conference papers. He is currently co- editing a book series on Indian Management published by the World Scientific Publishers whose first three volumes are due for publication in early 2023. He is also co editing a book on Leadership and Sustainability for Springer Nature. He has been a visiting fellow at the Hokkaido University, Japan; Marquette University, USA; University of Ljubljana in former Yugoslavia; Institute of Administration and Management, (IAMD) in Mongolia, University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and Renmin University in China.

The American Graduate School of International Management (AGISM) named him a Presidential Fellow in 1988-89.He is a visiting professor at the Asia E- University in Malaysia. He was a distinguished visiting fellow for six months at the Indian Institute of Management; Calcutta (Sir Ratan Tata Fellow) during 1995-96 .He has been a visiting academic at IIT Delhi, Adjunct Professor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Indus Business Academy, and Calcutta Business School in India. Professor Chatterjee is a former President of the Society for Global Business and Economics( SGBED) and currently Chairs the Board of Governors of the, Academy of Global Business Research and Practice (AGBRP)

Associate Professor Lubna Ali Mohammed Saleh

Associate Professor Dr Lubna is the Deputy Dean at Faculty of Social Science, Arts, and Humanities (FSSAH), at Lincoln University College. She has a track record of successful teaching and education reform and has been teaching students of all ages for over two decades in multiple countries. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Yemen and continued with double master's degrees and PhD in Malaysia in the fields of education, applied linguistics, and English. She has been working in the research field since 2009 with innovative concepts related to teaching instructional methods, curriculum analysis and development, teaching English as a second language, evaluation and assessment, research methodology, education, and E-learning.

Lubna has contributed to raising the higher education sector's productivity in Malaysia by supervising many postgraduate students as both the primary and secondary supervisor. In addition to that, as a HRDF Certified Trainer, she has conducted multiple workshops, trainings, and seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Furthermore, she obtained the positions of senior chair of multiple conferences and coordinated educational programs and being a head of the department, a senior lecturer, and curriculum designer in multiple universities and departments in Yemen and Malaysia. She has contributed to the society for working as an English teacher in the past decade, and she is the prestigious winner of the “Best Teacher” award of the Accredited Learning Centre (ALC), Kuala Lumpur, for the Year 2012.

As a Deputy Dean for FSSAH, Deputy of Internal Audit Department at Lincoln University College, and expert in the field of education, Lubna has been responsible for improving the quality, the recognition, and the transparency of teaching across a range of courses within the FSSAH and among LUC’s partners at a national and international levels. Besides, she has contributed to the designing of new curriculums for different educational programs as well as to receiving the full accreditation of various academic programs.

Peninah Kansiime

Dr Peninah Kansiime

Penny is a social work lecturer at Edith Cowan University. Prior to becoming an academic, she practiced social work in different geographical contexts. Penny has taught Social Work at various institutions in Sydney and has also been founding staff at some of the Social Work Programs at these institutions. Her research interests include conflict-related sexual violence, decolonisation, religion and spirituality, plus indigenous world views. Peninah trains students to become critically reflective practitioners.

Penny has a bachelors degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University Kampala, an International Master of Science in Social Work and Human Rights from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, a Master of Philosophy in Public Mental Health from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, as well as a Doctorate in Social Work from The University of Newcastle. She is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, the National Association of Social Workers of Uganda as well as the Australian Research Network for African Academics.

Dr. Rafiqul Islam

Dr. Rafiqul Islam is working as an Associate Professor at School of Computing and Mathematics, Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences, Charles Sturt University, Australia. Dr. Islam has a strong research background in Cybersecurity with a specific focus on malware analysis and classification, Authentication, security in the cloud, privacy in social media and Internet of Things (IoT). He is leading the Cybersecurity research team and has developed a strong background in leadership, sustainability, collaborative research in the area. He has a strong publication record and has published more than 160 peer-reviewed research papers. His contribution is recognized both nationally and internationally through achieving various rewards such as professional excellence reward, research excellence award, leadership award. Dr. Islam has recognized at the national forefront of his research field ‘cybersecurity’, which is now one of the national/International research priority (financial, political and social aspects). His is Co-Investigator on a successful Cybersecurity CRC (68 M) to which he is contributing to the projects related to Resilient Networks, Security and configuration management of IoT system, Platform & Architecture of cybersecurity as a service and malware detection and removal.

Professor Mahfuz Ashraf

Dr. Mahfuz Ashraf is a highly accomplished academic and leader in the fields of Business, Information Systems, and Information Technology. With over 20 years of experience in academia, he has established himself as a respected scholar and influencer in the educational sector. His expertise has been instrumental in providing high-level input and commentary on major educational and strategic issues, as well as formulating and revising academic policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure the quality of teaching and scholarly activity.

Dr. Mahfuz is a prolific author with over 50 publications in top-tier academic journals and conference proceedings that have been cited over 700 times. He has also secured several research grants for conducting cutting-edge research in the areas of information systems, health leadership, social entrepreneurship, and ICT for development. He has supervised more than 40 research students at both doctoral and master's level who have gone on to successful careers in academia, industry, and government.

Dr. Mahfuz holds a doctorate degree in computing from the University of South Australia; a masters degree in information systems management from the London South Bank University; a bachelor degree in business administration (marketing) from the University of Dhaka; and a Graduate Certificate in University Learning and Teaching from the University of New South Wales. Currently, Dr. Mahfuz is the Dean and Professor of the Lincoln Institute of Higher Education, Sydney, Australia - a not-for-profit institution associated with Vedanta Centre of Sydney and Lincoln University College Malaysia - where he continues to inspire and lead the academic community towards excellence and innovation.
